Quick rant
I was a retail manager. They put “performance” as the reason, but it really isn’t my fault. They never gave me staff, told me there’s no excuses for things not getting done, then fired me because I couldn’t do all 200 things they wanted done by myself. Right now I’m just applying for more jobs I guess. That’s it, rant over.
I am a salaried worker at an insurance company and work 40 hours a week in Michigan. This week my boss sent out an email saying there is a new requirement to work outside the office at least eight hours trying to drum up extra business. Can they actually require me to do this? As far as I know my contract does not specifically state that they can change full time hour requirements. Anyone with relevant info that can reply would be greatly appreciated.
I hate my job to the point where I feel awful every time I go into work. I just had a week off and I’m debating just never returning. Will future employers see on my background check that this happened? I am not putting this job on my resume and kinda want to pretend I never worked there.

Upon further inspection, I saw that 30 minutes were taken out for the pizza party. To make it more annoying, I took a 30 minute lunch break on top of the pizza party because I didn’t know that the pizza party was counted as a break. I know it’s only 30…
