Long story short. There was a robbery at work and I was forced by HR to accept the blame because the robbery took place AFTER MY SHIFT. In the next two months, $150 deductions were made from my salary. I decided to start looking somewhere else. I found another job and turned in my notice. My boss informed the accounts department to withhold my paycheck. I decided to lie to my boss and told him I rejected the other offer. He then decided to release my paycheck. As soon as I got it, it was toodles. Now he is all angry and upset, throwing all sorts of accusations. I don't really give an F about all that. So i'm changing careers, and I'm looking for experience in interviewing for my new career…whats the best way to get experience? To do it I found a job that paid $38k a year in a high COLA area…think like NYC, LA, expensive. Quite frankly I found this job posting insulting considering in lower COLA areas I am seeing $45k-$48k. Situation: 6 months contract with a medical device company (3 months down). Currently doing the work of 3 people as two other people have left. Doing a part time course in IT to get out of this industry for good. Offered a permanent contract with two clauses, I think they're trying to pull a fast one.
