If my boss asks me to email her that I’ll be out today, when she’s always said that she just wants a text, that means they’re getting ready to fire me, right? I’m using FMLA leave for migraines and I still have plenty left, so I think it should be protected, but that doesn’t mean a damn thing at my current job.

Just called out of work due to mental health…. Why do I feel bad?! I know I shouldn’t but my job is very short staffed (also not my fault, I know) and I don’t think there’s anyone that can cover for me today.

My director (IT) is extremely belittling and controlling/micromanaging everything I do to the point where he contradicts his own wants since it always has to be “my fault” and never his. My company celebrated record growth of nearly 40% and fantastic profits for 2022. My year end appraisal just happened and despite inflation nearing 10%, I am getting a 0%increase in salary and my bonus is a third of last years, even though last year was pro ratad to 50% due to starting at the company halfway through the year. Needless to say I've suddenly developed some stomach issues and have spent the last 45 mins sat on the toilet updating my LinkedIn and messaging recruiters then will spend this evening updating my CV and applying for new positions.
