Company is changing my job description, what should I look out for?

Hi everyone. I currently work for a private company in NE as a relationship manager for certain partnered clients. Our VP has been talking about enacting changes to our roles (and moving some folks to a different department for over a year now to balance the budget and things are finally moving. However, no surprise there has been little transparency in the process. The new job descriptions and other proposed changes are going through the various department right now and that’s all I know. In terms of the job itself I believe I will be focusing on new acquisitions only as opposed to acquisition and retention, which is okay. But I’m not sure what to expect logistically and I want to be prepared. Have folks had this happen to them before? Will I be offered a new job contract? Can they lower my salary and/or take away the higher vacation…

Question regarding my own jobs legality?

First time poster of this subreddit. I know what the title sounds like, but hear me out. I'm going to omit a majority of identifiable information because I highly doubt my boss' use reddit but I'd rather not be yelled at or targeted for this. I work for a major medical transport company based in North Carolina. We specialize in patient care and hire EMTs. I and almost all of the people hired at the same station as me (we have different stations for each city) are being told that we must work at least one weekend day por month and that if we don't put availability for it on our scheduling system that it will be chosen for us and if we can't attend we have to find coverage or deal with consequences, I presume. For me, I don't mind as much but I know a majority of my…

Applied for job, company changes job role and responsibilities immediately upon first interview.

I applied for a role in my field and the first thing that came out of the panels’ mouth was “thanks for applying to the XYZ role” to which I interjected and said I believe I applied for XYZ role instead. Completely different title than the one I applied for. They stated that they’re restructuring and are now combining two roles into one and the new job title isn’t even remotely what my career field has been about. Same pay but more responsibilities I’m sure. Not sure why they even advertise the role if it’s basically non-existent. I humored the interview but I wasn’t on my A-game after that so I’m sure I won’t get an offer anyway. This is a Fortune 5 company btw.

The greatest step in equity in the USA would be to nationalize all banks

Think about it, if everyone just used the federal reserve as their bank. Fed continues to invest money safely like most banks do, but as a service to the community their percent realized gains would just be distributed proportionally to all people. If we did this, it would be a massive step in socialization and equity. We don’t need to nationalize businesses, we might not even need to change tax code. We just need to nationalize the entire banking system. By doing so, the money would always be controlled in the best interest of the people. Sure people can still individually invest, but no longer could the bank cartel control the economy and subjugate us. In the 1930’s (i think it was then) banks colluded to have FDR killed and replaced by a puppet when he announced his new deal. The buck should have stopped there.

Low mental health in the workplace

Hey everyone. I’ve been recently struggling with feelings of failure and inadequacy after receiving a mediocre “needs improvement” eval at work. I’ve been with my organization for a little over two years and in my current role for the past six or so months and have been dedicated to my job. I’ve received similar evaluations from my past employers but this has hit me particularly hard because I felt that I had grown past it in a new role with a supportive manager. This negative feedback has left me feeling like a failure to launch. The evaluation stated that my growth has only been incremental and that I need to improve before my next evaluation or risk being demoted or let go. While criticism is part of any job it’s difficult to not take it personally and I feel like a failure. I feel like I’ve let myself and everyone…
