I’m negotiating salary now. The job would start later which would mean spending less time with my family, which is spread across the country. It would also mean working more hours than I currently do, which also means less time with whom I care most for. It’s in the industry I want to be in, and I’m making sure it pays more per hour than my current salaried position. I’m at an impasse AW, help me out. What would you do?

WTF Can’t be legal.
I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD & anxiety, and I’m approaching my autism diagnosis appointment (although, I know that I 100% have it, it runs in the fam and I’ve showed clear symptoms of it since birth), as well as a neurology appointment in a month to diagnose my unspecified sleep disorder. I’m in the trenches when it comes to attention to detail. No matter how careful I am, there will be something that slips through the cracks every once and a while. I have disclosed all of these things to my HR manager, right off the bat (despite not being able to fill out a form ) I have been written up for falling asleep at the desk. One moment I was completely awake, and the next, my head was sitting on the desk and one of my coworkers was asking if I was okay. I had been asleep for…
Why am I responsible?
So my company was bought out at the end of 2021 and now we are switching over from our old software to our new software. In the old software, my job was X. In the new software, X is done automatically. As a company, we are working in both systems for awhile. Here is the following (virtual) conversation: Supervisor: Hey, work in X is low. There’s plenty for you to do. If you run out of stuff please let me know. …..what? Why do I have to to let you know when I need work? You literally just told me you know that there’s no work. If the stuff that I was hired to do is all completed, and you don’t send me something else….I’m not going to go out of my way to tell you I need more work. There’s plenty of other stuff that I can do for…
I can't go into details but one day my friend found out he was fired for not coming into work because he had to rush his family to the ER. As his family were fighting for their lives his boss called to see that was going on and he told his boss what happened. His boss was livid and rehired him on the spot and he fired the manager who reacted by trying attack the owner and his wife who also happens to be the idiot's parents. So fast forward a few months my buddy has good job with more money while the asshole manager is in jail karma.
