Work Until I Die
I’ve been at this job for 5 months and texted my boss around 5 times sick which I made sure to to text 4 hours prior so there could be a replacement. Weirdly enough, every time I called in sick, he removes me that day off the schedule for next weeks schedule. I have Monday and Tuesdays off, when I call off Wednesday, the next Wednesday i’m off of the schedule and he doesn’t add me back. When i’m sick, it coincidentally happens when i’ve already had my two days off. This happened again, I worked 4 days in a row instead of 5 but called in again and he removed me another day which now i’m scheduled for 3 days? Will unions fire you?
I’ve been trying to get some coworkers to start petitioning for a union because we all hate our boss and the owner just backs him up regardless of what he does. But, everyone keeps telling me that as soon as the union comes in they’ll ( the union) fire everyone who currently works there and bring in their own employees. How true is this?
