First time quitting on the spot
I was working part-time, 24hrs per week at a new clinic trying to put myself through school. A while back, I got promoted to supervisor (a $.50 raise and no benefits, yay!). In the beginning, the doctor told me “I want you to be my second brain”. A severe red flag but I was excited about my promotion so I didn't really think anything of it. Once my promotion was established, she began to pick apart and question everything single thing I did. She was extremely insecure about how her clinic looked so she wanted to control every single detail she possibly could from social media posts to patient interactions to phone calls. She started harassing me for every single missed phone call, email, and social media message that wasn't answered in a “timely manner”. I have had some other food jobs before, but they gave us multiple shirts or just gave us a dress code like shirt has to be all black. But I wanted to see if this is common in the food industry or even accepted. Because ya like…

January 1st came and I didn't see anything in my direct deposit, so I emailed them and they said they mailed a check. Well, I had to move towards the end of January, and didn't receive the check by then, so I asked if they could send it to my new address. They said they could, but it might take a while for them to void the last one. This was in late January. It is March now and I haven't heard anything. I'm trying not to be demanding with them, but it has been 2 months since I should've been paid. If this keeps up I might report them to the Department of Labor or Better Business Bureau…
