The situation is a bit complicated but I'll try my best to explain it. I'm currently working as a student intern as a recruiter in a company next to my Work and Industrial psychology master's degree. On paper I'm an intern working part-time, but in practice I'm working full-time with real full-time responsibilities and pay, and I love it. The problem here is that the main headquarters of the company back in the USA (I'm in Europe) is 110% against the European branch where I work having its own sepcific recruiter. They are of the opinion that HR Managers should take care of their recruitment and are forcing my manager to follow suit. But the numbers and turnover rate show a different reality. It's plain and simple: a recruiter role is necessary. The HR manager needs someone to take care of the end to end recruitment cycle. And she wouldn't…

Management literally has said you can come in high and shitfaced, but as long as you can do the job, we won't fire you. I don't know if I should be proud knowing that or just sad at this point. We are a high turnover company with toxic management styles. I don't blame anyone for walking out.
My life as a 1 percenter
So, I'm going to discuss things that might not pleasant or well received. And I'm not expecting many to read it. But I'm currently drunk on some 6 dollar whiskey my neighbor bought so let me get started. I was born poor, like trailer park with roaches in the food poor. It fucking sucked and I swore I would get out of it. And I did at 17 by getting with a man over twice my age. He was a big shot at a certain blue company founded by a man named Sam. And between stock options, bonuses, salary, etc he's making upper six figures. And living that life for years showed me I really didn't want to be in it. All of those snobby fuckers treat everyone like dirt, they're the most racist and judgmental pricks I ever met. Don't even get me started on the way they thought…
I have already quit my job. Prior to my notice period ending my boss has told me to do absolute stupid shit for the company that makes no sense. It now no longer feels like a workplace but a bloody circus. He is also making other people do the stupid shit as well! My notice peroid ends on the 21/01/23 in my contract it states I am required to give at least Four weeks notice. My workplace have currently had 5. At the end of the notice period it would be 7. The workplace threatened to slander me if I left earlier. Stop me from ever working for them again and give me bad references. Something which is highly illegal. Something which I cannot prove. Even worse it was the company that told me to resign from this position. Which makes this shit even stupider. I am not in a…

how to handle rude colleagues
So I'm new at work like in 3 weeks in and I'm the kinda person that needs a couple of repetitions to get it. I work at an average IT firm so yea I'm just an average person There a few incidents that I felt could have responded better so seeking advice here 1)So at work I got confused about how something works and then I just why isn't this working this way and my colleague who been there some time replied in this way, “whyyyyyy would it be like that” rolls eyes , “WHAT IS THIS!?!” slams her arm on the table and then points furiously at the screen” so I just replied in a normal tone on what my understanding is but after that I felt I should have call her out on it. 2) I wasn't sure about on the format of sending the email although sh…
