Support needed..I'm not actually a contractor, just got sucked into some kinda sham contract. No training, no direction, no one wants to give me info its pulling teeth. So basically, very little understanding about my work and am expected to know way beyond my abilities. Work with people doing similar work/hours who are employees. Pay is average and not enough considering all my deductions and savings needed to take a proper vacation. Now I have a ” micromanager” watching what im doing and meetings on times I don't have to work. I am scared to even remote work because I'll probably be bossed around or threatened for this too because working together is better for everyone (even tho nobody talks in the workplace anyways). I will lay out my own example if I made 17.29 an hour based off my last pay stub. I am paid every 2 weeks. At 17.29 an hour and 40 hours per week I would gross 1383.20 per check. 388.13 is taken out for all the types of insurance. Married with one child. Now I am at 995.07 pre tax. With my gross per year at 17.29 an hour and 40 hours per week pre tax at a full 52 weeks (no sick days) I am at 35963.63. The first 10,275 is taxed at 10%. The rest at 12%. So with income and insurance and no retirement contributions…. 35963.63-10091.31(insurance) I am at 25845.32 of taxable income. Now I take 25845.32-1027.50-2978.14 (12% tax bracket after 10,275) and I have 21,839.68. These are the folks people seem to be willing to trash talk. The ones with 20k a year to live…

His wife said mental issues are all in our heads. He fired our associate director on the spot just because she didn't agree with what the CEO is doing. It's all because one of the managers opened up about anxiety and they were being overworked. By the way, most of us are being paid minimum wage for a creative job. We are being overworked and there are plenty of overtime because it's “flexi time”
Should I cut my losses and run??
Okay so I (20’s F) am currently working for a Cosmetic Injectables company (think Botox and lip filler) as an Admin. My six month probation is ending on the 1st of next month but I think I want to cut and run before then due to the practices of the owner and clinics. The owner who is aDoctor cannot legally practice in Australia as their license has been suspended but they keep the clinics open by not having direct contact with patients. The cosmetic nurses who work here are expected to squeeze what should be a 30 minute appointment into 15 minutes including confirmation from the doctor on staff to proceed plus all the forms filled out and treatment on top. They usually have appointments back to back most of the time as well. They get yelled at, abused and taken advantage of on a day to day basis with…
Since less kids = less future slaves. They will lessen the work time to 30-35 hours so that we have enough time for kids and dating. What you guys think?
