Okay so I (20’s F) am currently working for a Cosmetic Injectables company (think Botox and lip filler) as an Admin. My six month probation is ending on the 1st of next month but I think I want to cut and run before then due to the practices of the owner and clinics. The owner who is aDoctor cannot legally practice in Australia as their license has been suspended but they keep the clinics open by not having direct contact with patients. The cosmetic nurses who work here are expected to squeeze what should be a 30 minute appointment into 15 minutes including confirmation from the doctor on staff to proceed plus all the forms filled out and treatment on top. They usually have appointments back to back most of the time as well. They get yelled at, abused and taken advantage of on a day to day basis with…

Since less kids = less future slaves. They will lessen the work time to 30-35 hours so that we have enough time for kids and dating. What you guys think?

I work at a pretty big pizza chain (better ingredients, better pizza) that offers delivery. My tips make up roughly 60% of my pay. The general manager works on salary and gets paid far more than any of us. Lately he’s been delivering because “he needs cash” that night (he’s told other managers that directly). He starts giving himself double and triple deliveries when it’s not necessary and taking runs (and tips) out of the other driver’s and I’s pockets. He started doing it when we were understaffed and didn’t have enough drivers to get food to people on time. Now it’s become a daily thing. On Sunday we had three drivers scheduled and each of us were taking about two deliveries an hour because it was so slow. The GM then hopped in and started taking the good deliveries out from underneath us. He has access to the order…

For a little over a year while I’ve been finishing my degree, I’ve stayed at this job that I am completely miserable at. I’ve recently graduated and was offered a promotion at this job. I foolishly took it because they ordered me a $10k increase but just when I thought I couldn’t hate my job more, I was proven wrong. 2 of my colleagues quit and my manager has piled their work on me and has decided not to backfill for my own role. I am drowning. I’ve communicated how stressed I am due to the increased workload but all my manager replied with is “it’s good experience.” I don’t think I can take another 2 weeks of working like this. Because I’ve graduated now and don’t have many expenses (I live at home and I’m not required to pay rent), I think I should leave. What do you think…

I recieved an offer of employment from a county government. They offered me december 21st. They wanted me to start January 16th. The county is a rural/beachfront area, with a high cost of living, and severe lack of rentals. when hired they told me they would help me find housing and made several comments on how they lost candidates in the past due to the shortage of housing in the area. When I asked for help, Their help was “did you check facebook and craigslist”. Within a 25 mile radius of the city i am working in, there are a total of 4 postings on marketplace and craigslist combined for all RENTALS. everything else has waitlists. Despite all this i have found a reasonable place that starts in February . I have asked to delay my start date until Feb 2nd. They we're upset and told me to get a…
