So my boss decided that because she wrote “fity” instead of “fifty” on the check and that I presented the evidence to her in a statement from my bank, she would just say oh well “I'll write your next check better” and my entire pay for the week I worked just got sucked into the void. This all happened in person, is why I don't have any images. Anyone know if this is legal or what I should do?

Yay! I’m showing my incredible work-ethic and dedication to my company by coming in sick because I can’t risk getting fired due to being incredibly broke! /s Also my boss had the audacity to say “well you then have to ask X person who’s doing the AM to pull a double for you…” Translation: “I want YOU to piss off your co-workers so they hate you instead of me…”

My district manager just told us that the owner is cutting hours to the point of high school students working over 4 hours alone (on weekends) in a potential busy restaurant. Apparently I'm a bad store manager because I don't want them being alone for over 45 minutes tops. Thoughts?

So if I live until I’m 76 (average life expectancy), I’ll have 665,760 hours of life. I sleep 219,700 of those. I spend 15,120 of those in school k-12. If I work a 45 hour week and retire at 65, I’ll have worked 105,750 hours in my lifetime. From birth to death, I get 325,000 hours of my life to myself, and a bunch of that time is as an infant and toddler. My commute, grocery shopping, cleaning, etc comes out of this time. That works out to 48.8% of my life is leisure time. Less than half of our lives are spent in leisure. LESS THAN HALF… Who the fuck told us that we should spend over half of our lives doing something we don’t want to do, otherwise we’re homeless. This is bullshit.
