I started a new job. The higher up people all seemed great. I was happy to be there. They kept making remarks Like “we can’t seem to keep anyone, don’t understand why, this is a great place to work” I’m thinking yeah this all seems great. Then I went on my 1st day alone. I had an issue with an essential function- called in about the issue and was told “figure it out, that’s your job” Oh… ok? I already tried but I’ll keep trying, I’ll call you back. Couldn’t figure it out (as I’m not a mechanic) called him back and this dude on the other side of the phone is sighing at me like I’m an idiot for knowing nothing about a machine I’ve literally never worked on… he didn’t even offer any diagnostic of any sorts or things to check for outside of what I had already…

Is it normal for a recruiter to have you download telegram to message them for the interview? They asked me questions about like what bank and phone carrier I use then blocked me after I answered. It was supposed to be a data entry position with a company called outrider. I'm just so confused, does this normally happen ? Edit: They had also had me click a link to view their “company website” I've changed password and email on my bank and called the bank to let them know. Gonna have the owner of the phone account call them.
Thought this sums up what the vibe is

Do they not understand that Covid happened and a lot of people have been taking temporary or contract roles? They keep using that against me because I’ve had 4 different roles since 2020. All were contract or temp work, but recruiters say I have a good resume but get pushback from some hiring managers for the different jobs the last few years. they want people with job stability for temporary roles . Make it make sense
