is this legal? (ohio?)

In Ohio, is it legal to require hourly staff to give 30 days notice before they quit, and change their hourly rate to minimum wage for the last pay period if they don't? Is it legal to force said employees to pay for trainings the employer required them to take? Is it legal to terminate an employee's insurance coverage effective immediately and still charge them premiums on their last paycheck? Is any of this reportable & if so, to whom? Thanks!

This is your daily reminder to do work according to your wages.

I got fired from a job for the first time in my life. For privacy reasons I won't go into crazy specific details. I still got fired. Why? Because my boss (owner) squeezed too tightly on the operations of the shop. This lead to a decline in productivity, as we constantly depended on him to be there to approve product. Even his second in…

Boss removes me a day off the schedule every time I call in sick?

I’ve been at this job for 5 months and texted my boss around 5 times sick which I made sure to to text 4 hours prior so there could be a replacement. Weirdly enough, every time I called in sick, he removes me that day off the schedule for next weeks schedule. I have Monday and Tuesdays off, when I call off Wednesday, the next Wednesday i’m off of the schedule and he doesn’t add me back. When i’m sick, it coincidentally happens when i’ve already had my two days off. This happened again, I worked 4 days in a row instead of 5 but called in again and he removed me another day which now i’m scheduled for 3 days? I didn’t notice early enough when I called off this week which is my fault but only happened once. So basically I went from being a full time worker…
