The doctors said he would be passing any minute now. But it’s been a couple days and my boss already dislikes me. How should I approach him about this

We have a director who comes in occasionally from an adjacent (but still like 8 hrs away) state. Like 95% 'work from home'. She comes in every once in a while. On those days, we are requested to come into the office. BS, but fine, whatever. But now they are asking we come in two days a week. For no reason. It's been two years working %100 from home. My productivity is no different or better. My life is WAY better working from home. It is what it is I'm not even listing our repetitive reasons. Like, fuck off. It's not even the executive director making these decisions. It's the COO. Like, dumbass, YOUR BOSS WORKS FROM HOME MULTIPLE STATES AWAY. Ughghgh. Fuck these boomer idiots.

Let's say some random entry-level company popped up out of nowhere, and all their employees were paid $50/hr, PTO, and great benefits — the job is retail work like stocking shelves and working the cash register. Would the employees still try to unionize or have a reason to?

So I applied for a job expecting to get ghosted or not hear back. The company I work for now has me working about 8 and half months. Normally this would not be an issue but I live in Kentucky and now they only give 12 weeks unemployment as to the usual 26. At 26 weeks I can make that work. I'm usually hired back at 13-16 weeks. Either way there's a month without pay or very little as my area there's not a lot of jobs So I did get an interview and I did get an offer. I told the interviewer that I needed some time to think. I don't hate the company I work at. I want to go year round because that security would mean so much. I am in the process of negotiating for something that provides that security. My lab is redoing the kitchen. Removed the sink and surprise a bunch of black mold. Next day it's all painted over. No preventative measures. Just poorly patched, hole because mold, and painted. Not even sanded stucco. Glad I took a video but pretty sure this doesn't change anything about the fact mold is growing. Bonus points, the water line for the sink was dripping into their new wooden cabinets all night. It actually currently still is. Not sure what to do now

This was my third round of interviews. I was confident. It was a 2 hour in person interview. Nothing but red flags. One of their first few interview questions was “what was a moment you were proud of when you sacrificed something in your personal life for work?” I don’t sacrifice personal commitments for any job- that’s taking advantage of an employee. A sacrifice suggests not being compensated accordingly for the task. And then they told me they prided themselves on coming in early and leaving late- like 6 AM to 6:30 pm 5 days a week. Fuck that, as there was no mention of any overtime pay. This is a customer service job…. It’s not worth it.
