Ugh. I feel stupid. I feel like my interview had so many weird questions but I don't know if its just me They asked if I drove. They said “we want to know if you can come to this office in a timely manner”. I just don't know if this is appropriate. Like as long as I show up is it really their business?

I’m not planning on quitting anytime soon, however I’ve had instances when my managers have acted very out of line with me and I’ve reacted by replying that I’m ready to walk. Doesn’t happen often but if I did actually end up pulling the trigger I’d prefer the dramatic effect of them eating their words and having to immediately scramble to fill my position , as opposed to a two week courtesy. Only thing is I do have about 150 vacation hours give or take, which I’d be very interested in getting paid out as those are my benefits that I’ve accrued over my ten years working here What are your guys thoughts?

Misdirected Hate
Alright, I have seen this sub on my timeline for a bit now and I want to have a discussion. I feel like most of the posts here are people complaining about how capitalism works and misdirecting it to fit their agenda. We can't live in a society where you can choose not to work and for that society to be functional at all. Your guys issue doesn't lay with work but it seems to me it lays with how capitalism has shaped our society as a whole. The premise of this subreddit I think seems a little flawed. I'm all for hating capitalism but you guys have gotten lost in the sauce. I think that in an ideal society we can move away from how work functions normally but to me in my opinion you guys just seem like a bunch of people who are angry at capitalism and…
Question on landlord/renting
I have recently been able to work less, and I plan to not work at all in a couple of months. This has all been possible since I have been able to rent out a duplex that I own. So in a sense, I have gained my freedom back and been able to not deal with any corporate bs, thanks to being a “landlord” So, why is it wrong for me to do this if it allows me to end work (for myself)?
How 200 people can cripple an airline
A great (though slightly aviation-centric) explanation of how 200 ramp agents shut down Southwest Airlines.
New job offer; telling my current bosses
So I gave my 2 week notice today. I just got a job offer 20k above the salary at my current company. So my direct supervisor was sad to hear me go and but said he had to ask if the company matched the offer would I consider staying. Now keep in mind I like my direct supervisor he’s had my back on more than one instance, he’s a good guy. His boss on the other hand had denied my raise/bonus for the 2022 year. Despite the fact that i was doing work as a Junior that formerly a Senior had done. It requires a steep learning curve, took me 2 months. But I figured it out and improved the process and have since been at it for the rest of the 2022 year. And continued on in the 2023 year. As of now the total of a year and…
