The company I work for is going through what its calling ‘modernisation’ reforms. That mainly consists of working practise changes for cost saving, rather than actually modernising or bringing in new tech etc. Had a meeting today with my manager where I was told the numbers of Team leaders is being reduced. These roles are being downgraded to the rank lower, a pay drop of 9k… The selection process is being done on juniority to the business. I don’t ask for help because I already know damn well that my supervisor doesn’t care to give me any. But today, my supervisor not only forced me to work out in the most hazardous terrain I could possibly work in as a cart attendant all day without help, but two minutes before the store closes they demanded that I further put my literal ass at risk, just so they could have the peace of mind that I didn’t spend two minutes not working. And then to rub further salt in the wound, literally, they told another employee to salt the sidewalk, because they didn’t want anyone slipping and falling when they leave. No boss of mine has ever made me so face-meltingly angry in the 10…
