The listed salary in the interview is a full $5,000 a year lower than the advertised salary when I applied. How do I address that in a professional manner to have them adjust and correct their mistake? It’s not like it was a one time error, this salary was listed on the internal website for weeks prior to the position closing.

So I work for a TMS company (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) it's a treatment for depression that involves placing a coil on specific portions of the skull and stimulating areas of the brain responsible for mood. As of late the GM has been going around to a ton of locations at the orders of the admin to inspect our work. It's been very annoying for us techs because they'll come into treatments with patients that have social anxiety or really don't like more than just 1 person in the room. We've also had a change in protocols to get people to a certain level of amplitude (level of power/energy beamed into the patient's brain) when treating them. It's been very annoying because some patients just don't tolerate higher treatment levels. It takes them a minute to get there. But now we're expected to get them to higher levels even if the…
Should I keep my current online status in Microsoft teams? I actually don't want to show my status to anyone and want to keep it “Away” all the time because either I don't want to get disturbed, or don't want to tell anyone when I am online, or sometimes I also like the flexibility to check group messages without even worrying about anybody checking if I read their message. This gives me less stress. But this might backfire since I work overtime and work late at night since I am in an IT job, and my managers could be under the illusion that I am not working, and it could affect my career. Please share your thoughts on what is right to do…
Good luck Gary!
My friend works in walgreens in Massachusetts, apparently there has been sewage backing up since Saturday, no bathrooms, no running water and smells like shit. Front of the store is closed, but they're keeping the drive through pharmacy open. This seems illegal, any thoughts? Figure you folks are pretty knowledgeable on labor laws, especially the lack of a bathroom (they're being told to use the gas station across the street)
This boss is insane. Just wtf?
We just laid off ten percent of our workforce. Come work here! It’ll be grand. Talk about unaware dissonance.
It’s his clock! Don’t mess with it!
It has been in the works behind the scenes for the majority of the school year. After many behind the scenes meetings, individual conversations with classmates in the bargaining unit…today, February 20th, 2023 is the day we have finally gone public. I signed my card this morning! This is long overdue—wages have stagnated at our institution for over 5 years. We have no vacation or personal time in our positions. There is no one to advocate for us when something goes wrong in our positions. We need this union! And this is only step one in the long road ahead. WE DESERVE SECURITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY. Solidarity!
