At my job, you get a point every time you call off, no call no shows are 2 points. Now, it used to be at the supervisor's discretion whether or not you were pointed. This was changed at the beginning of the year, and all the supes were told they had to point every calloff regardless of reason why. This is all pretty standard for a lot of companies, right? Well, here's where it gets tricky. Not only did our previous supe NOT point anyone for calling off (again, supervisor discretion so he didn't have to), HR is now going to comb through everyone's hours to see who called off and when so they can be pointed. The most shit place I’ve ever worked
I got a job offer as a amusement park worker in charged of cleanup but the only drawbacks is that when I was speaking with the interview, they kind of made it a point that I would be on call and expected to come on all days. If I have any prior engagements I should reconsider them. Thing is, I have school so that’s that only issue. I’m definitely Not going to skip it for sure since my classes end on June unfortunately.
