I worked remotely in 2 states for a company based in a different state. I moved halfway through the year and made sure HR had my address changed. My paystubs and W2 reflect this change. I was laid off in the first week of January. When I filed for unemployment in my current state I was denied because they said my former employer was not reporting earnings there. Now I have again been denied in the previous state because of similar problems. Is it the employer’s responsibility to report earnings to the proper states? I haven’t gotten any money from unemployment and obviously I have had no income in almost 2 months. I’m not sure if I should contact HR again. They denied seeing a problem on their end the last time I contacted them.

This guy was willing to murder over it. But he was also part of the system, the politicians who play by different rules than us and expect to be protected by their money. He was just small-time enough to actually get justice. How many people have done worse for way more than $40k? This is what the system does to us. If you're not greedy above all else, you won't survive. I even feel bad for the murderer's family. They seemed like good people.
First want to say so sorry if this is in the wrong place as I was not sure where to share this with to get advice. For background, I’ve already handed my resignation notice and since then I’ve been dealing with a lot of back-handed retaliation/side comments from my supervisor ever since. No surprise. But regardless of that, they’ve now informed me that they are hiring a new person as my replacement and so they will be giving her my office desk and will be moving me to a makeshift desk in the kitchen/common area to work in until the end of the month. This is a full time salaried office job that I am working at a well known company. Is this legal? I was honestly taken aback and did not give a response as I couldn’t process this new information. i get paid $9.25 an hour & im expected to stay busy for my whole shift even though i don’t get any breaks. the manager sends out texts every morning complaining about someone doing something wrong but never specifically calls out who’s doing what so it just feels ominous and threatening. the thing that she constantly says that bothers me the most is that they’re always watching the cameras & to be aware of what we say and do. the most recent message that the district manager will alert her if someone (me, the only one at the store rn) is just standing at the register doing nothing instead of doing chores or keeping busy like y’all pay me dog water , i rlly hope they fire my ass for standing at the register. they don’t offer any discounts, just a measly $5 coupon every five months to use on…
