My boss gave me a panic attack this week. He's been oddly dismissive about some rather important things. Like hardcoded passwords and a laptop that won't charge. Day 1, a coworker had warned me that he was bad news. After his conduct, I thought I would take a healthy course of action and schedule some PTO on the official calendar, and even voluntarily setup a meeting with HR. Doing my best in a bad situation. Cut to HR firing me on the day of, by email. I don't know what to do. I've had trouble finding supportive managers at most every job I've signed onto. Do they even exist anymore?

Welcome to the world, baby boy, I'll paint you red and white and blue The indoctrination starts as soon as you come out the womb Pretty quick we'll make you stupid with curriculums at school And if the classroom doesn't do the trick, we'll make you watch the news Pick your team, right or left, pick the red pill or the blue You can vote, but even if you win, still everyone will lose Don't forget to buy designer because Gucci makes you cool We prioritize material belongings over truth Get a job that you can't stand so you can buy some cans of food Go overseas and die for freedom, there's some oil we could use Our democracy exists so that you think that you could choose But our algorithms make you do what we want you to do What's the problem, you're depressed? Society has you confused? We…

Need help before being given a write up
Hey, I don’t want to go into too much detail as to not compromise my employment just in case I have co workers or managers on r/antiwork, but I’m being threatened a write up for refusing to use my personal vehicle for business errands without the federal minimum mileage reimbursement rate. The duty I’m being told I have to do is outside of my job duties as it’s transporting large amounts of cash, which historically has been a manager responsibility. They want me to take on this liability and are offering far less than the federal rate of .65 per mile. When I asked for a company policy I signed stating this is my job duty they failed to present one and said it was just the rule. What I need help with is this: can anyone spare some time to help search Washington state laws on mileage reimbursement when…
Hello everyone, As the title suggests, my job expects me to do a 2 person job in a warehouse office answering emails and resolving issues, being a receptionist, helping other departments and also expected to “help” the Kitting department at my job. When I say “help” it means more that I'm an assistance to the woman that everyone hates because she can be rude, condensending, talking to you like you're an idiot, will yell and verbally abuse you but will kiss ass and try to mask herself a high pitch “cutsey” voice to get the upper management to keep liking her. Multiple people have quit due to her behavior and nothing has been done with her. When I first moved to this position I was told I would help her from time to time but now I'm doing about 80% of her paperwork, still expected to do all of my…
I am being “quiet fired”?
I work at a gas station, and recently, my hours got cut to almost nothing. When I asked my manager 'why' they claimed I 'was not completing my job duties' and that 'until they see improvement, I would not be given more hours'. I asked which job duties I hadn't completed (before the one shift they gave me this week) and have yet to get an answer. That was about 4 days ago. I'm already looking for another job and was basically just using the part-time hours I got from this one (while being classified as a full-time employee, btw) to help pay my bills, so I was already planning on quitting. I would just like to know what email I can send to the district manager to best explain the situation, because I can't pay my bills working so little, and I'm clearly being given no chance to actually…
