Rounding time
Alright i clocked out at 7:58 and my shift ended at 7:30 meaning I stayed over and worked. My employer rounds time. State rounding laws require if the employer rounds to round to the nearest 1/10th hour. USA Federal rounding laws apply here as well. What time should’ve the employer rounded to. Question being They rounded down to 7:52. Is this wage theft?
Imagine being sick for the 3rd time in 2 months. I had medical documents. Laws are different here from the US. Imagine laying in bed with 102 degrees Fahrenheit (39 in Celsius), taking your third antibiotic, covered in body aches, lost appetite and feeling overall miserable, calling 2 doctors at 10 pm and later on a whole ambulance (it's free here). My supervisor and I were leaving the parking lot at the same time when our cars touched on a tight fit. There was no damage to either cars, but my supervisor is claiming I was speeding and I hit her car. We were both leaving in a tight parking lot, it could easily be her fault as much as mine but the narrative is that I hit her. There is absolutely no space to even accelerate my car to the point of speeding. And I have another supervisor to witness the fact that I was not speeding. The supervisor called our manager and told her I was speeding and that I hit her car, to which the manager told her she will be sending me a disciplinary letter. I still haven’t received it yet.
