“Oh look at me – I am 22 and I allready have a big house and big car and live a life of luxury – haha stop being poor, im gonna party until im 40 and then I get a juicy “job” at my daddys company”! I could explode every time some rich spoled brat – often with sub average intelligence – brags how great and awesome they are – while Millions of bright kids have to toil away their life in a slave job that crushes their potential. Is this really our world? Is there really nothing we can do to stop the rich pigs except wait for the economic collapse/depression/hyperinflation?

When do we stop?
I do not see why we should continue working for a country that neglectfully poisons our water and food, burns down our fuels, and then robs us of our taxes blind. And what are your choices? Work 80 hours a week on 20 an hour and have it sucked up by medical bills from constantly released viruses and chemical contaminations? You arent going to own a home, and if you do, they will do some neglectful shit to poison YOUR land and stiff the bill on court fees by delaying them and making YOU run out of money. Why are you still killing yourself for men that hate you and for a currency that is collapsing?
Hold them to a standard.
Just a thought but I wanted the general opinion. Should we strive towards a work culture that puts the employers on the Back foot in regards to the work they want done?. What I mean is, we as people need jobs to survive but also want/need great pay, the best conditions, solid yet flexible work schedule, PTO for any reason, enjoyable work, And dare I say, the outright elimination of time wasting bullshit jobs. The employers know we need to work to survive and want/take as much work from us as they can get with little to no investment beyond what is necessary to keep thier businesses revenue growing. So how do we change that dynamic? How do we get the employers to, in a sense, come to us? Instead of the other way around. Unions??? Y'all are gonna say Unions huh? Well solidarity then! Cheers.
Fired and told to reconsider field
Really need to vent. So I got fired for the first time ever this past month. For some context they waited 8 months to give me a review – so I didn’t know what I was doing wrong. We set up a personal improvement plan, one of the goals to finish a project by the end of January. Now I realize I should have communicated better in hindsight but we were swamped with actual client work that I had assumed we needed to push it back. Fast forward come to find out it was expected that I work extra hours outside of regular working hours to get this done. No overtime. That wasn’t expressed to me. Additionally I had asked another manager for accommodations for my ADHD in the office, because he cared so much about me being in the office and that wasn’t even discussed but instead I was…
im extremely frustrated with my job
I work at a dog daycare that I went back to after leaving due to so many issues and drama in the company. Now when I started back I told them I needed 40hrs a week..not once have I gotten that and I've been here a month I'm often doing the jobs of 2 ppl to the point of exhaustion and sooo much responsibility falls on me, because they recently fired 2 managers. I've asked to be promoted so I can make more than $15hr but nope. Now not only am I responsible for cleaning and maintenance in the entire building but now I also have to train new hires with no extra pay. Also the entire month I've been back I only made $800 in a month working here. I'm 3hrs late today because I'm just pissed and annoyed. I don't want to go in there and basically do…
