In need of assistance
Last week I was hired by a company, spent 2.5 hours doing onboarding filling out paperwork and being told/shown how they operate at their warehouse. Today I received a text before I even started saying that I’m “not fit for the company” resulting in me being fired. I then asked if I’d be compensated for the time spent and was told “no because it cost the company a lot of money for that time too.” I replied saying that is in violation of FLSA and for me to please just be paid for my time. Their response to that was “return our key and shirts or you’ll be in violation of theft of company property”. What options do I currently have? All of this is on record through text messages
Sure, here's a suggestion for a yearly performance-based bonus program for CNC machinists, structured based on years of service: Goals and metrics: The primary metric for determining bonuses would be the profit generated by each job, calculated as the revenue from each job minus the wages paid to the machinist who worked on the job. Bonus structure: The bonus program could be structured as a percentage of the profit generated by each job, with the percentage increasing by 0.5% for each year of service with the company. Performance-based reductions: If a machinist produces parts that do not meet quality standards or require rework, the bonus for that…
employer shaving hours
hi everyone, just trying to figure out if this is illegal. i used to be a manager and am pretty sure it is, but again, want to confirm: so i am scheduled at 9AM monday-friday. i clock in anywhere between 8:30AM and 8:45AM everyday. i felt like they were cutting hours already so i screen-shotted my time card when i left for the day friday and i’m glad i did. my clock in time was changed from whatever times i entered to 8:55AM daily. can they do this? i emailed them asking to review because i was never told anything and if they want me to clock in at that time going forward i can do that, but i feel like i should be paid for the time i clocked in.
