I had a job interview, if you want to call it that. We started the job interview and the guy asked me what I understand the role to be. I explained it, he tells me I’m a “quarter of the way there” and then proceeded to explain the role (which is exactly what I said the role was, and what I understand it to be) then proceeded to carry on about how I wouldn’t handle the role and that I wouldn’t understand it. I haven’t done this role before but work in a similar field which relates to the role and I have an understanding of the role but obviously there’s some learning to do if I started (which I advised in the phone call prior) as I’m wanting to learn more, I made it clear I’d be new to the role. I (F19) started a job at a cake shop almost two weeks ago. I worked 4 days and went to lectures the rest 3 days. I had disclosed to the boss and manager that im a full tine student and that i need a job to pay the bills and my student loan.
