Trump Trying
I know I his sub is super left but just wanted to point out…. That a right wing former president seems to be the only one that cares about Ohio……. Even bought the first responders dinner….
I feel like every job I’ve had, there has always been one person that I hate, but they never did anything towards me.
I quit anyways
I just decided I can’t handle it anymore. Regarding my last post about my co worker, as bad as I feel for her, I literally cried in the freezer yesterday because I felt so lonely and awful there. And all this within 2 weeks of working there. I dislike management so much, and all the co workers really are burnt out and lost their soul. Nobody even gossips. It’s all work talk and how they can’t keep up. I’m in my “try out period” (in the Netherlands you get like 2 months of that. You can just quit the same day or get fired the same day without a month notice) I’m calling in today to say I’m not coming in next Monday and I’ll be gone. They have no rights over me and frankly, Why the hell did they put me in such a bad position? I JUST started…
Einstein 1934
Title tells the gist of it. I work in a quality control lab as a chemist. My department is salary exempt and has been already working de facto 50 hour weeks due to 25% of our lab being fired. Now, we are required to work 50-hour weeks with no salary adjustment, bonus, or overtime. Is this legal? Currently, over half of the remaining analysts are looking for new employment if this is implemented. (The cherry on top, this is right after we went to a quarterly meeting and listened to our CEO ramble about how the company is making record profits)
Overwork in big corporate
I graduated from a top architecture college last year and got placed as a trainee in a big corporate construction company. I left my job to find out that its a 12h/day job sometime extending upto 15,16h. The pay is good for a graduate (INR 40k/mo) But anyways i hope i will learn something from here which could help my career in future, But only to find out myself doing some shitty excel jobs and coordination. And the pressure is also too high on me. Im really feeling like shit coz I was in the top 5 in my college and find myself in this shit situation. The worst part is not having any personal time after work Its been 7months here and I’m thinking to stay at-least an year, so that my resume will have some experience. Should I leave or stay for 4 more months??
Some bosses are truly prices of shit
So I work in the trades. My former boss and I worked a deal where I could build my new kitchen cabinets in the shop. Well I was about done and he asked if I was tracking materials. Gave him the list and he gave me the total 2 hrs later. 2 days later I get the roto virus and miss one day come back and the shops Forman says he has nothing for me to do because he’s been focusing on a specific task. So worked two days that week. Monday comes I show up to work and as I’m getting my stuff out of my truck the owner needs to have “a talk”. Not working out blah blah not personal. Like bro, you just waited to make sure my $3200 check would clear, short me 2 days and fire me? Wtf is wrong with employers?! Let me earn…
