I've been seeing a lot of people flexing that they work multiple jobs or insane amounts of overtime hours to afford a lifestyle that they want. Not because they have to, but because they want “nice things”. I know some folks will work that many hours or have multiple jobs just to afford life necessities, this is not on them. No one should have to work more than 40 hours to afford a basic quality of life. This is more for the folks who idolize the grind, the workaholics, the people who flex on others about how hard they work by talking about how many hours they work as if it's some sort of achievement. The ones who say they do it because they want to but not because they need it. I work 40 hours a week, I'm able to afford my lifestyle. Time is my most valuable resource.…

Had the birth of my first child on the 7th. I told supe wife was at hospital potential emergency c section and got okayed and that he’ll worry about covering my position. Rushed home, showered, rushed to hospital. Had my boy at 9 that night and decided to take off the rest of the week to help my wife recover. Things didn’t go as planned and my son passed that Friday at noon. Ended up take off from the 8th-yesterday. Got here at 5:30 this morning and all the old boot lockers are on my ass asking why I haven’t been in and that i barely knew him to even be taking off.
