Struggling with writing a Resignation letter

I am about to submit a immediate resignation letter to my employer of 10+years. I am leaving because boundaries were crossed and my personal rights weren't respected by my supervisor. I am tempted to list the reasons why but have read online on different sites that it would reflect poorly on me. Ultimately I feel like I need to list the reasons why but keep it brief and indirect.

If you want to know what the people you work with think of you, hand in your notice

Bit of a rant and a story but it shows how people change when you’re no longer “useful”. I work as a qualified professional for a high street opticians. I’ve been with the company since 2004 and have made my way up from a part time retail role to my current supervisor/professional role while doing almost every job/ role within the 2 retail sites I’ve worked. But I‘ve become burnt out with the expected unpaid extra hours, the unpaid extra roles and responsibilities, the backbiting, the “office” politics, the lack of communication, the smarmy catchphrases, the constant demands from customers and staff, the out of hours contact and the god awful commute, so over the new year I looked for other opportunities. I found one at an opticians closer to home, that would involve using my qualification but none of the supervisory bullshit. Then I realised my current employer expected…

Just filed a pay equity complaint against my former employer

My male colleague with the same job title was paid $1.25 more per hour, despite me having 10 more years of experience and a university degree, which he does not have. My boss should have done the equity work when negotiating my colleague’s salary, but did not. I just wish I could see his face when he gets that call…

I don’t know who needs to hear this but you don’t have to give references if you don’t like them

I have been looking for work for a while now and my job references are getting old and honestly I never trusted them. I got the whole concept wrong and just said yes when recruiters asked if they could call someone on my resume. Extremely dumb, as having an ex employer cold called probably had them in a bad mood. But I was too anxious to contact them to ask if they wanted to be a reference. I never really asked anyone cause my jobs were mostly toxic to me and I wanted out. So I basically now just do not give permission to contact anyone. I am honest and tell them I think my references are too old and can't be a good reference to me. But deep down I don't trust anyone. I think I often got ghosted by recruiters because they called a previous employers. I am…

Milking a situation?

A coworker recently made very sexual/derogatory comments to me and I told management (verbally) but nothing was ever done. HR was not involved at all. I work for a very large & well known healthcare corp. I hate this company and feel like my situation was pushed under the rug. How can I milk the most out of this situation? Lawsuit worthy?

Just watched Office Space last night…

It's been a long time since I've seen it. It popped up for free on my youtube so I popped it on. Holy smokes. It gave me extreme anxiety. It's crazy how just a few meme-able moments in a pretty short movie sum up the entire beaurocratic corporate structure in America even today. Peter's whole arc is so satisfying in a way that most of us will never get to experience. I don't understand how this movie hasn't ignited the burning flame of antiwork in a larger part of the country.

Work taking out insurance that was never working

Hi all, I just called to confirm my insurance status with the company and I found out that my companies insurance policy was never effected. They’re still charging me basically half my paycheck every week. I’m in NYC, what do I do?
