When Someone Asks Why Landlords Are Bad
Panic attacks, dread — sign to quit
I have a colleague who I don't feel safe asking questions to. He's my senior at my job. I'm 3 months in and I want to quit because I feel I won't thrive if I'm mostly made to feel dumb or my asking questions will be taken against me. I dread going to work. It has exacerbated my existing anxiety and have been having more panic attacks recently. I don't have a backup job yet (I'm actively looking though) but I feel I can't stay one more day. I know unemployment is a worse situation to be in but it feels like my mind would detonate out of anxiety these days. I really really want to quit NOW.
I found a fairly new Youtube Channel that makes Videos about making Money online! They provide tips and tricks on how to make money online, discuss different ways of making money online and give out advice on how to get started with making money online. In addition, you can comment certain Money Making Methods you want them to cover and they will (most likely) make a Video about it! I believe that this channel can help you find success by providing useful information and guidance on how to become successful at making money online.
I work for a mid sized bio company. Let's just jump right in with the pros. Stock Awards: very generous company stock awards are possible every quarter Benefits: I pay under $30 per pay period for amazing benefits PTO and Sick: fair PTO and 80 hours of sick leave a year, as well as a floating holiday Food: they randomly buy the company food, probably twice a month More Food: 1 paid team outing per month to any restaurant that we don't need to clock out for 401k matching: a match of up to 4% a year Culture: generally one of the nicest places I've worked, most people are happy and there's no drama Now all that being said let's get to the part that really concerns me. Pay for every department is on the low end, I always hear people say you're getting paid with experience. It's not hard…
trying to find a job is so exhausting
i’m a college student and i’m not taking THAT many credit hours this semester. my schedule is pretty flexible just not mornings m-th and trying to find a job is killing me i have about 6 past jobs, the experience, and i’m a decent person with a clean record. i had three interviews last week and these bottom of the barrel places are so damn picky and rejected me. i’m angry. i need to pay for gas and tuition and i’m stressed tf out because no one will hire me. i’m sick of fighting for my life for minimum wage and horrible treatment from managers “no one wants to work anymore!” i WANT to and HAVE to. but even the shittiest restaurants won’t hire me. i got laid off after christmas cause “hours are cut” and i was the newest hire or some bullshit and now i’m out of work…
So my work implemented a point system…
Work's Point System I work at a fast food occupation and recently we had a meeting requiring all crew members. At this meeting they told us about a point system they were adding. In this system, you start out with zero points and can gain a point from taking other people shifts. Sounds fine until you realize that as long as you have contacted five people before you call out, you receive no punishment, but rather the five people who fail to respond/refuse to take your shift on their free time do. Instead of encouraging individuals to not call out, it seems to rather incentivize it as they will receive no punishment but rather their coworkers will. Am I crazy or does this seem extremely flawed and can be easily exploited?
