Hard work pays off guys! Don’t give up!
I just quit my job at amazon again.
I worked for amazon before all throughout 2021 and moved and started working at a new one i started october 1st 2022 and i can’t take it anymore. They’re so inhumane about everything compared to my last experience with them. I don’t recommend working for them as i got two write ups for not going fast enough despite hitting the goal they wanted. I don’t have another job lined up aside from applied to target but i just feel free. i didn’t have anyone to tell so i wanted to let it out here.
How my job rewards hard work…
Dialysis tech compensation- SoCal
I’ve been a dialysis tech going on 8 years and I love what I do. The current unit I’m at I’ve been there for 5 years. Lately I’ve been feeling like quitting every day I work. And am currently seeking other employment opportunities. I’ve been told by several other friends/ family in the same field that my compensation is very low, and not only myself but majority of others within my clinic. I’m trying to figure out what’s competitive and what’s the average salary a technician makes .. Any advice is appreciated ty
Did you know it is completely legal to pay under $7.25 an hour to disabled employees? 192 employees in Iowa are paid under minimum wage. My favorite example of this is “Christian Opportunity Center”. The reason I say this is it took me less than 10 minutes on their website to see “competitive wages”.
I grew up in multigenerational poverty and, through frugal living and lucky breaks, have dragged myself up to a place where I am not paycheck to paycheck. Most of my peers these days are the folks that received an inheritance that amounted to at least a full ride higher education. They simply can't understand what it is like to not have that support structure. They still feel like they are “Making their own way” and everyone should be able to do that if they work smart. This has led me to the conclusion that most benefitting from the status quo, no matter how marginally, adopt a sort of apathetic willful ignorance about the existing system. So, what are you saying to try to convince people for the need of change? My appeals for empathy seem to carry no weight.
I’ve only worked in kitchens my whole life and the hours / pay is killing me. I’m looking to get out and i want work/life balance but still make a decent wage.
