Awful intern experience

Short rant. My company (luckily, just for the summer) paid a stipend for me to move to a big city and work in their downtown office (empty btw). Didn’t know it would not be paid until the 3rd paycheck and progressively taxed 45% so the stipend didn’t cover shit. They also in the contract said I would have to pay back the stipend if I quit. So I essentially got trapped here with not way out except debt. I basically spent 3 months in one of the most expensive US cities paying $450 a week (with 3 roommates also paying $450 a week, yay) and ended up making no money. Don’t worry, because I am the only one on my team that goes to office, I have spent a fair share of time dicking around.
