there have been bed bugs found in our office & we even saw a whole section of the office with employees personal items in trash bags. it’s been confirmed by the employees that work in said department that bed bugs were found & the area has been “treated”.
the only thing is that my coworkers & i feel uncomfortable going back into the office knowing they only treated the area the bed bugs were originally found in & haven’t treated any other part of the building.
management hasn’t said anything & when team leads got word of it, their exact responses were “it happens all the time here. at least they treated the area.” WHAT
& i guarantee the company would not be paying for treatment if any of us brought them home.
should i report this to HR? the health department? i don’t know what to do but i really don’t want to go back in until i know everything has been properly treated, cleaned, & sanitized.
