Started working about 2 years ago for a financial company. I was producing the most and learning the most. At one point they gave me a raise. My bosses expectations have always been the highest of me. If something went wrong he takes it out on me, he expects perfection. We work on a case file basis. Case files range in difficulty and complexity. At some point he decided I needed to do all the harder analysis and case files. We have created the process to be drawn out and repetitive to avoid mistakes. My coworkers work on easier case files that I could do with my eyes close if permitted. Therefore naturally my production levels are lower but also higher in reward if successful (I’m taking on higher financial risk with everything I touch). One day I said hey I’m doing harder work I deserve more money which made my boss get defensive. He said your not doing the number of files your coworkers are doing. Again my files are at least 5x more in depth than there’s and I tried explaining this which led to an awkward period of time. Recently I’ve learned I’m making the least while doing the hardest work in the department. My superiors push me hard everyday and expect me to get better. Everytime it ends up with him gaslighting me. I bust my ass and my boss knows it but never wants to say good job or thank you for making my life easy. My coworkers tell me they have no idea why they make more money than me. Why management is so hard on me. Why they push me in everything I do while everyone else skates by. I don’t know what to do I’ve been pushed to my limits and feel like I’ve been taken advantage of. Hard work doesn’t pay off.
