I was hired for one position and pay. The position itself wasn’t that important to me, but I was told my pay and expected it to be that. When I started there was some confusion because the manager had been out sick and we never actually met.
I simply asked if they could confirm my pay. They confirmed my pay but said that I wouldn’t be getting my original hours or position. Again, position irrelevant, but finding out two weeks into a job that I would be getting a day a week from now on i obviously had questions.
I expressed that it’s how I survive and just wanted some clarity.
I was basically told in different ways in writing that I can just quit. Was even encouraged to update on the job search.
I feel like I’m sort of being pushed into quitting my job without wanting to.
