In the big group where upper management was there, my manager posted, “Thanks Colleague1 and Colleague2 for closing the issue. OP was not there today but you guys took the extra effort to finish the task”
For context, I was sick on Monday but came to work. Figured I should get some rest so I took a sick leave on Tuesday. Colleague2 was the secondary POC for the task I was doing which means the he is equally responsible for it, just that I was more informed on how to do it. So during my leave, I already told him to follow up on the task (which was due on Friday btw but suddenly they had to close it on Tuesday).
But the next day, everyone was berating me, asking me what happened, saying yesterday they faced a lot of problem with my task. When I said I had a fever, one of them even said “That's it?”. Like what?? I was supposed to die or something to take a sick leave? And my manager even asked me to treat Colleague2 for working hard on doing my work..
Yeah just a little rant cuz I'm still sick till today and I still feel bitter about it
