So my boss has been on a rampage lately apparently. He's taking his frustration out on us but this one makes no sense.
Apparently there has been a “cell phone problem” so we aren't allowed to use them unless it's for text our boss.
And now because a coworker didn't “hear the problem when it happened” music being played on noise canceling headsets is out too.
Thing is, you can't hear or feel your phone going off over the machines you are running. And you obviously don't get text notifications unless your headset is turned on and tuned into the Bluetooth part or its wired.
So he's basically told us we should drive around in absolute boring silence for 8 hours with no way to know he's trying to contact us. Even if we had radios we couldn't hear them over our machines.
Nobody is going to drive around with their headset on, bought and paid for by themselves, and tuned into the Bluetooth but play nothing. That's a waste of batteries. Which we also buy ourselves.
Also btw you couldn't hear that problem. Maybe if you didn't have hearing protection at all you could hear it but why would you risk your hearing for that? Only way you would know is if you reached out and touched it or seen it with the latter being impossible unless there was a second person there and they were looking.
Fucking stupid.
