My boss denied my expense report because it was just a “day trip not overnight”. And the company doesn't pay for food on a day trip. However, I have gone on many days trips and they have expensed my food. I'm sure it's because we probably went over budget on this project (not my fault again).
I feel like I should let it go because I'm quitting this job in 7 months to go on an adventure but at the same time they're contradicting themselves. The trip was 8 hours within itself so do they expect me to just go 8 hours without any food?!
