We had a mandatory meeting today where the head of our department talked about her maternal and paternal families escaping Russia and Germany during the holocaust and expressed concern and offered support through the channels we are already aware of due to the overwhelming news of hate and killing. She mentions Israel and “the Palestinian people” multiple times as victims. Then she saws it was started by a terrorist organization. Now I know my boss is a zionist that supports the occupation, and apartheid of Palestine. I really wish I didn’t have to hear any of it. I was cringy.
