I work for a very small company with only myself and one other employee. I received an offer for a new job at almost double my current salary, 6 weeks vacation (currently only get 1 week) and benefits. I have nothing against my current employer and they are very nice to me but obviously I have to take the new job. I called my boss today to give him my 2 weeks notice and he spent the entire call trying to make me feel bad about how screwed they are going to be and how the one employee left will be doing double the work while they look for someone else. They want me to give a longer notice but I can't because I'm starting the new job soon. Should I actually feel bad about this?
