Boss is asking for statement from therapist

Just wanted opinions on a dilemma my bf is having at work. So to preface, he recently received a raise & was switched from hourly to salary for work. For the last few years, he has worked half days on Friday morning because he has therapy appointments. So, upon receiving this raise, he communicated that he would still need to be off work Friday morning, and asked how that will work while being on salary. His boss explained that it’s fine & he would make up the hours somewhere else during their busy times. They agreed on this arrangement & he has been working this schedule ever since (around 1 year.) Just wanted opinions on a dilemma my bf is having at work.

They agreed on this arrangement & he has been working this schedule ever since (around 1 year.)

Recently, just through casual conversation, she found out that he was no longer doing therapy Friday mornings due to his therapist being on maternity leave, and that he now uses that time for his side hustle. (He shouldn’t have even mentioned that but anyways.)

She then asked “so you’re using OUR time for your side hustle?” and stated that he was supposed to be making up those hours if he wasn’t in therapy.

She then told him that he needed get something from his therapist stating when he started and when he stopped going to therapy.

I think this is absolutely absurd. Not only is it not her business what he does during the time they agreed he wouldn’t be there, but to ask for a statement from his therapist seems incredibly inappropriate to me. Additionally, for her to insinuate that he was basically stealing from them by not going to therapy is insane to me.

Just wanted to get opinions because maybe I’m crazy but I don’t think he did anything wrong at all & his boss is out of line. And if so, how should he proceed?
