Boss is giving me the cold shoulder cause I applied elsewhere

I had started a job at a physio office and was not getting enough hours and barely able to live and it’s been a month. I know I was in probation but I worried about the lack of hours and part time wasn’t working out. I had a breakdown and cried and decided to apply elsewhere full time. My boss called me and said that one of our clients at the clinic saw that I applied to their company and told her. She was mad and asked why I would do such a thing. I explained I wanted more hours and wasn’t getting enough. She then asked what I needed and I said 40 hours for stability. She said she would do so only if I was committed to at least a year. I felt I had no choice 35 hrs at the rate she was paying me was just not enough. Honestly I get her frustration but she has to understand it’s a competitive market and if you wanna keep staff supply better hours
