Boss is telling employees of one property of his to sign in and out on breaks

I work at two hotels the the owner has multiple properties I work at two frequently and at one I call it the 16 room motel there telling us to sign in and out for breaks it sounds pretty close to asking us to clock in and out for breaks we have two 10 minute breaks and an unpaid 30 minute lunch. But at the other property that has 40 rooms they don’t even tell employees there to do that at all. But they have the same breaks as us… I feel so uncomfortable
