Boss paying me less despite working more hours?

I’m a 17 (F) and am currently working at Chick-Fil-A. Here’s the information about my wage to hour relationship: (School time): Closed 3 nights a week. Hourly rate = $14.50 (School time): Worked 28 hours a week, no closing. Hourly rate = $12 (Summer time): Close every single night of the week. Hourly rate = $12 I have no idea why my boss thinks that it’s fair that I’m only paid $12 despite working WAY more than I was before during school time. I have no idea why my boss thinks that it’s fair that I’m only paid $12 despite working WAY more than I was before during school time. Her logic is that “Well since it’s summer time it doesn’t matter if you stay until 11pm” but I literally am in summer school and still have responsibilities to do during the day.

The reason why I reduced my hours in the first place was because I was literally failing my classes due to how hard working until 11pm 3 nights was – I was getting home at midnight and waking up at 5:00am.

The other kids my age who close are homeschooled, so I’m the only one in public school who was closing anyways. And the homeschooled kids were still getting paid $14.50.

I guess I’m just lost on whether or not this is unfair. It sure as hell feels unfair. I’m looking for a new job lmao
