Today my boss and I were discussing ideas for a video marketing our workplace. She suggested a video of one of us walking through the place, marketing how appealing it looks, and I agreed that it was a great idea. She follows up on this agreement by saying that if one of us were to model, it shouldn't be me because I'm very short and she doesn't want our followers to think that a kid is allowed to wander our workplace. She continued that that notion would give us a “bad look.”
I guess the point of this post is to rant about just how offensive hearing that from the director of our department was, and how surprising it is to see how tone-deaf someone in her position can be.
FYI – I'm an adult and working full time, so no I'm not a child.
