I work at a small school for a state government entity We have 3 classrooms and some other services. The current makeup of the classrooms are:
Classroom A- One male and one female teacher
Classroom B- Two Males
Classroom C two females
All three classrooms are being changed so that there is one male teacher and one female teacher in each room. My boss said this is based on the research that shows families that have a mom and a dad have better outcomes.
Besides there being plenty of research that says this is not so, I don’t think it is legal to assign assignments and roles based on gender. I realize it is not discrimination, but it is a decision with the criteria being based on gender.
