Boss seems to want me to work from office twice a week when all other team members WFH

So I'm currently in an entry-level role in a field I always wanted to be part of. I missed two days of being in office and I think that irked my boss. The thing is, all the work I do can be done at home and the rest of my team WFH. My boss works the same days in office as me. I don't really see a point of being in the office, I brought it up with my boss if I can come in fewer days in office (twice a month) or reduce it to once a week instead of twice and he always says bring it up later. My training period has passed, I've passed the 6 months mark. I know another person in my role has been working in office once a week. I would like to reduce my in-office days if possible bc I will now…

I would like to reduce my in-office days if possible bc I will now be actually working a 5-9 WFH job after my 9-5 bc I can't live off the wage of my 9-5 job especially bc I work in a city and commute from a nearby state. Rent and everything is stupid expensive (sorry about my language). The reason why I actually missed one of the days last week was to interview for food stamps which I didn't tell him bc he doesn't need to know. Another reason why I'd like to reduce my in office days is commuting time (hour commute on bus, sometimes takes an hour and a half) and the cost. I don't get reimbursed for my commuting fees.

I know some people think that wanting to get reimbursed for my commuting fees is asking too much but they don't pay me a liveable wage to work there even though the company is the top in its industry. I don't know how people stay doing this entry-level role for long unless they got rich parents to help them which I don't have the privilege of having. For now, I am looking at new opportunities, though I do like my job, so I can be comfortable w/o working 12 hrs a day. IDK how to get him to agree with making me work in office less not sure if I should bring up what's going on and I don't feel too comfortable revealing that/ I might get push back. There's always a person to replace me but now that I'm thinking I don't have anything to lose. TBH I think they shouldn't have entry-level workers come in office bc we don't get paid enough to be able to afford to come in office. I've been seeing a push throughout the office to get people to come in more.
