My boss dropped in my lap a task to find an off-site conference room for two days next week. He wants full video capabilities. A specific menu. Not downtown because he doesn’t want to pay for parking. This “conference” is for 5 people. The same 5 people that make up our management. No one is coming in from out of town. No clients. He has known about this for months and tells me with less than a week to find a place.
Here’s the issue, no place will accept a 5 person party. 20or more seems standard. One place said they might have accommodated it if we gave enough notice. I totally agree with that. Another would be able to work with us, but their room has been booked for months out. Our office has a super nice conference room and I could order food, but that’s not classy enough for them. My boss seems to not be hearing me when I am saying I can’t make this happen.
I fully anticipate to be scolded or fired for this and I can’t fix it
