I got hired at this fine dining restaurant 3 months ago as a server assistant and have been told repeatedly that when a serving spot came up I would get it. 2 people got fired and one quit, so I was excited that I was going to move up. They even had me serve for the 2 days the people were scheduled after they got fired. Well, today the hiring manager just let me know she hired 3 new servers and for absolutely no reason didn’t move me up. I’ve only been here 3 months but I’ve never even clocked in 1 minute late and I feel like I’ve gone above for them. I’ve never complained or been unkind to anyone. So, I sent my boss an email with a long article on why promoting from within the company is beneficial. She just emailed me back and said she didn’t need my help managing
