Burned Out at Work but Worried About Losing My Job

I’ve been in the healthcare field for 15 years, and at my current company for about the last decade. Our workloads have increased over time, and I’ve hit the point of overwhelm that I had a emotional meltdown in a recent meeting with my boss, and now I’m worried I’ll lose my job for being honest about not being paid enough for the amount of stress I’m under, and that our benefits are terrible. I told her that it’s hard to do my job when I’m always worried about money, the planet being on fire, etc. She expressed concern about my mental state and said I should probably take a leave, but I can’t afford to, because I’d be paid even less. I did take a couple days off to cool off and try to relax, but now I’m worried I’ll be let go for finally being honest about what’s…

Has anyone gone through anything similar and have any insight or advice? My job stresses me out but obviously I can’t just leave without something else lined up. I’m currently applying to internal positions, and not seeing much externally that I would qualify for at the moment.
