Need advice. Several ongoing H&S violations in the retail backroom that I am the lead of. I've had issues with it all for months and my management knows but nothing has been done to permanently fix these. I called the govt department responsible and they advised me on proper steps to take and that eventually (probably in a few weeks) an inspector would check us out, and guaranteed confidentiality and anonymity. I informed my direct manager as a courtesy so she could go the proper avenues to cover her ass and I got yelled at and told that her manager would have to know about the report.
I fear retaliation and a hostile work environment going forward, and I'm unsure of what to do.
