At my company you have to be a supervisor to be salary. My department is about 75% salaried “supervisors” and 25% hourly associates. I’ve been looking at options for organizing and legally supervisors can’t join unions but there seems to be conflicting opinions on what makes someone a supervisor. My company is verbally anti-union so the whole “only supervisors are salary” thing seems like an anti-organizing tool.
